Dividend ETF Research

Posted on by

These are the ETF’s I study for dividend income. These studies start at 10/26/2023 as that is the inception of GPIQ, which is one of my favorite dividend generating ETF’s. I have added a new sortable table below the first standard table, that is based on the data in the first table with some extra columns extrapolated. This allows you to pick an ETF that balances growth & income according to your investing needs.

GPIQ & JEPQ are still my favorites, the dividends are generated via selling options, so they are not effected by earnings etc. And they are also managed by two of the most revered names in investing JP Morgan & Goldman Sachs.

Dividend ETF’s since 10/26/2023

This live table is built from the data above. It is sortable by any header. Clicking on a header reverses the sort. I sort by either the % change in Principle or Yield. I then look for ETF’s where both columns are above 10%. Here you can pick your desired balance of income vs growth. Each row shows exactly what you have after the given time span, interest & principle, and the % change.

If you invest 1 million in an ETF that grows principle by 10% annually and a 10% yield, after 10 years these are the results:
2.594 million in principle and and 259,374 of income per year, without any dividend reinvestment
over the 10 years.

Dividend ETF’s 1 year

All models begin with an initial value of $100,000. To gauge dividend performance, view the dividend column on any 1 year chart. Divide the dividend amount by 1,000 to get the model or ETF’s yield percentage.
