Dividend ETF Research

Posted on by

These are the ETF’s I study for dividend income. I am only running 2 years here because my two favorite dividend generating ETF’s are less than 3 years old. I prefer JEPQ & GPIQ which consistently pay a 10% dividend. The reason I like these two is that the dividends are not really dividends. It is income generated by buying and selling options on stocks in the Nasdaq 100, and also owning a small percentage of the underlying stock. These two ETF’s are run by J.P. Morgan & Goldman Sacks and although the track record is short, they have done a great job providing income and some growth. JEPQ & GPIQ are used in the two models that generate income; Blend & Blend2 on the Current Models page.

I have been watching SDIV for 2 years which has had great performance & dividends lately, but it has had very poor performance on some older time frames.

Dividend ETF’s 2 year

Dividend ETF’s 1 year

All models begin with an initial value of $100,000. To gauge dividend performance, view the dividend column on any 1 year chart. Divide the dividend amount by 1,000 to get the model or ETF’s yield percentage.
